MELTEM OKMEN
Born in Ankara in 1974, Meltem Ökmen was graduated from Hacettepe University, Department of Business Administration in 1995.
In August 1995, he started working as a Management Trainee at Garanti Bank within the scope of BEST (Efficiency Strategy in Retail Banking) Project.
He continued his banking career in 1996 as a specialist in Finansbank. During this period, she was responsible for managing the clients in the Retail Banking Unit. In 1998, she became a Deputy Manager in the same bank.
In 1999, she was appointed as the Manager of Kızılay Gima In-Store Branch, which was selected as a pilot branch under the concept of "In-Store Branch" within the Gima Stores in the retail sector. The project was such an achievement that it was decided opening bank branches in all Gima Stores. After the pilot phase of this project, she took an active part in recruiting and training the personnel for these branches.
After working as a Branch Manager at Finansbank in the following years, she left banking in 2005 and entered the education sector as an entrepreneur. She founded Bilmek Education and Consulting Ltd Company. She undertook tasks such as the design of the detached building, which has a closed area of 1,000 m2 in Ankara Umitkoy district, which had 9 classrooms, library and food court, and coordinated the relations with the Ministry of Education.Her company was a part of the franchise system of Deulcom International Educational Institution, which provides language learning, vocational courses and personal development trainings.
Okmen, who settled in Istanbul in 2007, became a volunteer 'Young Women Literacy Course Instructor' by receiving FYOP Trainer certificate from Mother&Child Education Foundation (ACEV). Between 2008-2009, she worked as a freelance trainer. After giving birth to her son Deniz in 2009, she took a break for a couple of years.
Since 2011, she is a part of Arma team and delivering workshops on Communication Skills, Sales and Relationship Management, Presentation Skills and Coaching.
