Cüneyt Ormen was graduated from Bogaziçi University, Department of Civil Engineering in 1992. He completed his MBA in finance at San Diego National University in the United States. He returned back to Turkey in 1994, and started his career as an MT at Garanti Bank.

 

After working in Corporate Coordination and Financial Institutions departments for three years, he took a break from his banking career for two years in order to support the family textile company for personal issues.

 

He returned to Garanti Bank in 1999, serving in the Corporate Banking Coordination Unit, which was his former place of duty. He was responsible for setting targets of the Corporate Branches, determining the needs of them and conveying the projects for the Head Office, explaining and defending the loan proposals of the branches to the credit committee.

 

In 2004, he was appointed as  Branch Manager. During his 4-year tenure as a Manager, he led the sales staff serving for the retail, SME and commercial customer segments.

 

In 2009, he was appointed to Garanti Fleet Corp, a subsidiary of the Bank, as Unit Manager responsible for Sales and Marketing. In this role, he mainly ensured the integration of the company with the bank organization; to increase sales and marketing synergy.

 

At the end of 2010, he was appointed as the Strategy Development and Marketing Unit Manager at Garanti Leasing. During his tenure at Garanti Leasing, he took responsibilities such as working with senior management and ensuring coordination to determine the company's three-year strategy goals, monitoring KPIs and submitting them to the board of directors. In addition, he worked with business lines and regions to increase sales through the bank sales channels. In the same period, organizing campaigns to increase the sales of branches and portfolios were also within his responsibility. Later on, more active use of the company's social media channels was added.

 

He was appointed as the Treasury and Financial Institutions Department Manager at Garanti Leasing in 2014. He carried out the short-medium-long-term borrowings, contract negotiations, increasing the number of domestic and foreign lenders and expanding their relations, "due diligence" meetings, contacts with rating organizations and cash flow management of the company.

 

Ormen, left Garanti at the beginning of 2017 and joined Arma same year. Born in 1971, Ormen is a father of 15-year-old son.
