Born in Izmir in 1973, Berna graduated from Ankara Science High School and METU Food Engineering Department. She started working as a part-time employee for Garanti Bank while she was doing her master's program in the same department.

 

After her graduation, she worked for Garanti Bank as Commercial Operations Officer, Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager and SME Banking Portfolio Manager, respectively.

 

After 7 years of branch experience, she started working in Western Black Sea, Central Anatolia, Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia Regional Office as SME Banking Regional Marketing Director. During her 5 years of work at this office, she coached the branch sales teams and branch managers; she also took part in customer visits when it was necessary.

 

Following her work at the regional office, she worked as a Branch Manager in 5 different branches in Ankara for a total of 10 years.

 

Berna, who continues to work as an expert in Ankara Courthouse, also works as a volunteer teacher at the School Support Association, which aims to support students in secondary state schools, and help them realize their potential.

 

Currently continuing her coaching certification process, Berna is the mother of an 18-year-old  boy and is engaged in hobby gardening.
